Cedar’s First-of-its-kind Chenxin High-power COB Lighting Product with Variable Color Temperature Made a Debut at the 2023 Beijing Lighting Technology Forum

From May 25 to May 26, the “2023 Annual Academic Conference of Beijing Lighting Society, 2023Beijing Lighting Technology Forum & the Forth Exhibition for Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements” was successfully held in Beijing. With the theme of “Lighting up the City with Technology and Igniting the Light of Intelligence” and focus on the hot spots including “low carbon”, “health”, “intelligence” and “share”, the Forum brought together a number of industry experts and elites who delivered wonderful speeches.        

Wang Yang, the Deputy General Manager of Changchun Cedar Electronics Technology Co., Ltd., doctor and research fellow, was invited to attend the event, discussing the future development trend of urban lighting with these industry experts and elites. As the guest speaker, Doctor Wang Yang delivered a keynote speech entitled the High-power COB with Variable Color Temperature Ushering in a New Era for Application of LED Road Lighting. Through the analysis and study on the pain points and needs in the field of road lighting, he shared the innovative way of integrating Cedar’s high-power COB lighting products with variable color temperature, city management and the national “dual carbon” target, which was strongly resonated and recognized by many industry insiders.   

As the latest achievement from the “Research on the Key Technology of Highly Efficient and Highly Reliable LED Lamps” included in the national key R&D programs of the “13th Five-year Plan”, Chenxin high-power COB LED module with variable color temperature tackled the difficulty in integration of photoelectric heat system with small volume and light weight under the standard module size and higher power and power density. Compared with domestic and foreign products with same power level, this product has weight reduced by 30%-50% and wind resistance area reduced by nearly 2/3, allowing for product industrialization and application demonstration and wholly made-in-China and controllable machine. With independent intellectual property, the product won the 12th Jilin Science and Technology Award for Lighting - First Prize of Lighting Product Award, and the Best Product Award of the 11th Aladdin Lamp Award.

Through combination of Chenxin modules with lamp structure suites in different scenarios, it may produce various lighting products such as street lamp, high-pole lamp and tunnel lamp widely applied in the fields of road lighting, square lighting, port lighting and tunnel lighting.
