Cedar’s “Chenxin High-power COB LED Module with Variable Color Temperature” Evaluated to be Internationally Advanced

On May 22, 2023, “Chenxin High-power COB LED Module with Variable Color Temperature” produced by Changchun Cedar Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. was approved on the Evaluation & Review Meeting for Scientific and Technological Achievements. 

The expert panel for achievement evaluation consist of five experts including the Academician Wang Lijun as the director, the chief consulting engineer Wang Meng as the deputy director, Wang Lixiong, Tang Guoqing and Yao Mengming. The research fellow Wang Yang, the Deputy General Manager of Cedar Electronics, served as the person in charge of the project and made overall report on the innovative application, cutting-edge technology and IP advantages of the scientific and technological achievements. The evaluation expert panel listened to and reviewed the report on scientific and technological achievements and research technology report of the achievements, and conducted site inspection of the achievements.     

Upon inquiry and discussion, the evaluation expert panel concluded that the materials under evaluation provided by the project team for the achievements were complete and complied with the requirements of scientific and technological achievement evaluation. The achievements reached the international advanced level on the whole, with COB super-conductive heating phase-change heat dissipation technology and high-power COB with variable color temperature at the international leading level.

As the latest achievement from the “Research on the Key Technology of Highly Efficient and Highly Reliable LED Lamps” included in the national key R&D programs of the “13th Five-year Plan”, Chenxin high-power COB LED module with variable color temperature tackled the difficulty in integration of photoelectric heat system with small volume and light weight under the standard module size and higher power and power density. Compared with domestic and foreign products with same power level, this product has weight reduced by 30%-50% and wind resistance area reduced by nearly 2/3, allowing for product industrialization and application demonstration and wholly made-in-China and controllable machine. With independent intellectual property, the product won the 12th Jilin Science and Technology Award for Lighting - First Prize of Lighting Product Award, and the Best Product Award of the 11th Aladdin Lamp Award, and was widely applied in the fields of road lighting, square lighting and port lighting to fill the product gap, promote the overall level of the industry and support the national “dual carbon” strategy!
